After 3 days of strike by the Bayelsa state civil servants, gov. Seriake Dickson has ordered the head of civil service of the state and the accountant general to make sure the workers are payed their salaries with immediate effect.
The workers have not received their wages for about 5 months now, will receive 50% of their February salary and have agreed to receive part of their payment with the promise of the balance to be paid as soon as possible. Premium Times reports.
